Andover

Andover is a popular suburb nestled along the Mississippi River just over 20 minutes north of downtown Minneapolis. As a fast growing suburb, Andover is a popular spot for homebuyers due to its ideal location on the river, its abundant parkland, its great schools, and its great people. Those looking to buy a home in Minnesota will love Andover.

One of Andover’s biggest selling points is its beautiful location. With the mighty Mississippi River right to the west of Andover and a number of lakes in the city, Andover is a great place to buy riverside property or to buy your dream lakehome. But Andover’s biggest selling point – even bigger than its beautiful riverside and lake-abundant location – is its parkland. With 67 total city parks, the city has the most parks of any city in the north suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul and some of the most parkland per square mile in all of Minnesota. What this means is that anyone who buys a home in Andover can enjoy a number of parks within walking distance of their home. It also means that a nearby playground for kids, or nearby tennis or basketball courts for adults, or nearby biking trails for any age. From sledding hills and dozens of ice rinks for hockey players and pleasure skaters in the winter to lake beaches and sports courts in the warmer days, when it comes to parkland recreation, Andover really has every other city beat.

But Andover’s selling don’t stop there – Andover is also home to an outstanding public school system. Residents of Andover can rest assured that their children will be taken care of in a public school district well-known for its high-achieving students, high tests scores, and accommodating teaching styles. With a huge variety of public schools, there is a place for every student, regardless of natural ability. A number of private schools in the area focusing on religious education also make those interested in religious education for their students feel right at home in Andover. When it comes to Andover’s schools, there’s something for everyone.

In fact, when it comes to nearly anything, there’s something for everyone in Andover. A quick 20 or 25 minute drive into downtown Minneapolis makes a world of nightlife, entertainment, and employment options available to residents (though there is plenty to do in Andover, from golf to movie theatres to bowling). A huge number of shops and restaurants make living in Andover fun and convenient. There are even huge festivals held throughout the year, from summer music and fireworks to Christmas visits with Santa and more. There is all that and 67 parks.
