Brooklyn Park Homes for Sale

Brooklyn Park

Brooklyn Park is one of the most popular places to buy a home in the Twin Cities – literally. The city is the second most popular suburb of Minneapolis and St. Paul. But why? What makes so many people want to go buy a house or home or buy property in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota?

For starters, Brooklyn Park is a great place to purchase a home because it’s a great place to raise a family. The city is home to almost 2,000 acres of recreational parkland and is also home to a whopping total of 63 city parks. That means that for every square mile of land in Brooklyn Park, there are 2.5 parks and 70 acres of parkland. So wherever you buy a home in Brooklyn Park, you know that there is at least one, if not many, nearby parks. Beaches and basketball courts, as well as skating rinks and tennis courts, and wintertime outdoor skating rinks and playgrounds, and a host of other recreational amenities are just a stone’s throw from any Brooklyn Park house or home.

On top of all those parks, Brooklyn Park is home to some of the best schools in the Twin Cities. One of the advantages of living in a more populous suburb is that residents get a wider variety of schools; hardly any suburb in Minnesota can beat the three public school districts in Brooklyn Park. The award-winning Osseo Area Schools District online features special programs for those interested in the arts or in the sciences. The Anoka-Hennepin District has engineering programsm special needs programs, and programs for gifted students. Robbinsdale Area Schools holds the prestige of having both its high schools featured in Newsweek as some of America’s top schools. Between the three school districts, Brooklyn Park residents have their choice of almost 100 public schools near the city, with every one of them offering a great education. And as if that weren’t enough, the city is also home to a handful of private, religious schools, offering interested parents a religious education for their children. And to top it all off, Brooklyn Park is the home of three colleges. So picky parents love to choose Brooklyn Park as their home, for its great schools and for its great parks.

But picky parents aren’t the only ones buying homes in Brooklyn Park. The city is just over 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, making a drive into the city for bars, restaurants, nightlife, and city-scale entertainment just a short drive away. Of course, Brooklyn Park itself is home to malls, movie theatres, bowling alleys, world-renowned golf courses, and hundreds of shops and restaurants – so there’s usually no need to trek down to Minneapolis or St. Paul. The city also boasts a beautiful location – it’s bordered on the east by the Mississippi River and is littered with lakes and ponds, some of which residents use as public beaches. Those looking to buy riverfront property or a riverside home, and even those looking to buy a lake home, may find just what they’re looking for in Brooklyn Park.

So there you have it – the top reasons Brooklyn Park is the most popular suburb of the Twin Cities. With unbeatable parks and the widest variety of outstanding schools, Brooklyn Park is a great place for families. With shops and restaurants and with a short distance from Minneapolis or St. Paul, it’s a great place for adults. And with a beautiful location along the Mississippi River, it’s a great place to buy a home.
