Buying a home in Deephaven means buying real estate with genuine small-town feel right next to the beautiful shorelines of Lake Minnetonka. Although Deephaven is only two-and-a-half square miles in total area—one-tenth of a square mile being lakes, lakeshore, and lakeside real estate—the city brings much more to offer than homes and houses for sale. Deephaven’s ideal location, right on Lake Minnetonka and conveniently only sixteen miles from Minneapolis, along with its small-town friendliness and serene privacy, make choosing a Deephaven home for sale not only a top choice of location but also a top choice of community.
Deephaven homes for sale situate themselves near or on one of three tranquil, private bays of Lake Minnetonka: Carson Bay, Saint Louis Bay and Robinson Bay. In addition to Deephaven’s lakehome and lakehouse real estate along the lakeshore, Deephaven is home to a number of lakes as well, including Lake Louise and Lake Marion, making the available lakefront property in Deephaven abundant.
In addition to private lakeshore and lakeside property, Deephaven is home to a number of outdoor recreational activities, including a total of six public beaches as well as a number of neighborhood parks and public trails. The city has a thriving boating culture, as the home of the Minnetonka Yacht Club since 1882, steeping the city not only in a thrilling boating atmosphere, but also in a rich history.
Along with that rich history, the city of Deephaven is home to a number of historic community events, like the annual Deephaven days, which include contests of running, biking, swimming, as well as an outdoor community picnic alongside the beautiful parks of lakes of the city.
Deephaven also includes within itself the small community of Cottagewood, which is a beautiful peninsula that juts out into Lake Minnetonka, forming a large part of Carson Bay. Cottagewood, as an even smaller, more private community of Deephaven, with not even half of a square mile in total land, offers an even more intimate setting with a number of gorgeous lake homes, lake houses, cabins, and property and real estate along Lake Minnetonka shoreline. Visit our website on Cottagewood for more information.
Deephaven, as a small community, is home to 3,853 people in 1,372 households. With little room to grow with its privately tucked-away residential homes, buying a home in Deephaven ensures a lifetime of small-town charm in a private setting.

Some highlights from throughout the year include the following:
