New Brighton Homes for Sale

New Brighton

New Brighton is a small, charming suburb, ideally located an equal distance from both Minneapolis and St. Paul. From its award-winning schools (Irondale High School was listed as one of the top 500 schools in the country by Newsweek in 2000 and 2003), to its abundant parkland (90% of New Brighton homes live just a quarter mile from a park), to its many lakes that make buying a lake home in New Brighton easily doable, to its beautiful homes and safe environment, New Brighton is a great place to buy a house or home.

The city may be small, but there is still plenty to do within the town. Everything from golf courses for beginning and experienced golfers to bowling alleys for the young and old alike can be found in the small city of just seven square miles. Movie theatres and live theatres alike can be enjoyed within the city limits, as well as hundreds of restaurants, shops, and more. And if that’s not enough excitement, both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul are just a quick drive away, offering everything from sports games and shopping to concerts and nightlife.

Of course, sometimes residents of New Brighton don’t need excitement; they just want some relaxation. And if that is the case, those who buy a home in New Brighton have many outlets for recreational use and for relaxation. Though the city is up to seven times smaller than other Minneapolis and St. Paul suburbs, the city is still home to 15 total parks, giving it more parks per square mile than almost any other city in Minnesota. The end result is that every home for sale in New Brighton is a great value, as each home in New Brighton is just a stone’s throw from the nearest park.

Another great reason to a buy a house or home in New Brighton is that the town is also home to some of the best schools in the Twin Cities. With great teachers focusing on individual students, students who struggle get a helping hand and students who excel find special programs to challenge them at their best fit. As a result, in 2000 and again in 2003, Irondale High School was rated as one of the top 500 schools in the entire country by Newsweek. Residents and homeowners are thus rightfully proud of their home-town’s school system.

But perhaps the best reason to buy a house or home in New Brighton is the people. As a small town of just seven square miles, the community of New Brighton retains a small-town charm and friendliness, as well as a sense of familiarity and friendship. In that spirit of charm and community, every August, the city puts on a weeklong festival called Stockyard Days. During Stockyards days, the city celebrates for a whole week straight with food, live music, a grand parade, games and contests, and even fireworks. It’s a great events for kids and adults alike, as there is always something to do, and it really showcases the small town’s sense of fraternity and friendliness.
