St. Paul Homes for Sale

St. Paul

St. Paul, the capital and heart of Minnesota, is nestled along the Mississippi and Minnesota River shores in a beautiful location with large lakes and tons of excitement. With a high quality of life, exciting sports, nationally recognized theater and more, buying a home in St. Paul is one of the best decisions anyone looking to purchase a home can make.

Buying any home in the city means excitement, but buying a home in St. Paul, whether it’s a small townhome or a large lakeside estate, really means excitement. St. Paul is the home of the Minnesota State Fair and the Saint Paul Winter Carnival, as well as a whole host of other year-round events – the Children’s Festival, the Cinco de Mayo celebration, the Irish Fair, the Minnesota Music Festival, the Highland Fest, Taste of Minnesota and countless other events. Anyone who buys a home in St. Paul will have year-round excitement and fun.

Of course, St. Paul’s excitement goes far beyond its community events. The city is the home of the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, hosting a number of plays, musicals and Operas throughout the year. The Xcel Energy Center hosts the Minnesota Wild hockey team as well as a number of concerts and other events throughout the year. St. Paul is home of the Science Museum of Minnesota, the Minnesota Children’s Museum and host of other major museums.

In addition to enjoying all those events and all that excitement, St. Paul homeowners also have the privilege of enjoying St. Paul’s many parks – in total, St. Paul features more than 170 parks and open spaces. With its 170 parks, St. Paul boasts more parks and more parkland than any suburb in the Twin Cities, and, additionally, boasts as much parkland per square mile as almost any suburb in the Twin Cities. Thus, buying a home in St. Paul means buying a backyard near beautiful riverside parkland. Throughout those 170 parks, there are sports fields and courts, playgrounds, nature trails, picnic areas and more. Every parkland amenity is available throughout the city; the vast majority are available from practically any St. Paul home. St. Paul is also home to one 9-hole and three 18-hole golf courses, over 100 miles of nature trails for walking, biking and jogging, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and aquatic facilities, a public beach and more.

One of the many reasons St. Paul enjoys such a high quality of life is its Economy. Minnesota is home to nearly 20 Fortune 500 companies, and the majority of them operate within St. Paul or Minneapolis. Major corporations in St. Paul include Ecolab, a chemical and cleaning product company, St. Jude Medical, Lawson Software, Gander Mountain and Securian Financial. 3M, the major manufacturing company, is located in nearby Maplewood. What all these companies, large and small, translate into for anyone looking to buy a St. Paul home is high quality of life. From its variety of shopping and restaurants to its high employment rate, St. Paul, through its robust economy, offers homeowners a huge number of opportunities.

There is a lot more that could be said about St. Paul. St. Paul was ranked the third best city to raise a family in; it is the most literate city in the US; it has the second most educational institutions per capita in the US. From parks to zoos to the Minnesota Opera, from small townhomes and rental homes to riverside estates, St. Paul truly has something to offer everyone.
